Hier is een (vrij willekeurige) lijst van indicaties en wetenschappelijke onderzoeken naar acupunctuur.
Bijna al dit soort wetenschappelijke studies zijn in het Chinees of in het Engels, hier dus een lijst met linken naar Engelstalige onderzoeksresultaten. Dit is slechts een heel kleine selectie, er zijn tienduizenden (!) wetenschappelijke onderzoeken naar Traditionele Chinese Geneeswijzen (en waaronder dus acupunctuur) gedaan, waarvan veel inderdaad de grote waarde bevestigen. De lijst die u hier ziet wordt onregelmatig bijgewerkt, en is er vooral om te laten zien dat we de tijd dat iemand kan beweren dat “acupunctuur niet wetenschappelijk bewezen is” nu echt achter ons ligt.
Het boek van Stephen Birch en Richard Hammerschlag, “Acupuncture Efficacy” beschrijft al in 1996 een overzicht van wetenschappelijke studies, en was een van de toelating van acupunctuur door de Amerikaanse FDA.
